Mexican-American Conflict (1846-1848):

The Mexican-American Conflict was battled between the US and Mexico over regional debates.

The contention emerged from the addition of the Republic of Texas by the US and the unsettled line debates among Texas and Mexico.

The conflict included significant fights, including the Skirmish of Buena Vista and the Clash of Chapultepec.

The Settlement of Guadalupe Hidalgo, endorsed in 1848, finished the conflict and brought about Mexico surrendering a critical area to the US, including present-day California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and portions of Colorado and Wyoming.
