Mahdist War (1881-1899):
The Mahdist War, otherwise called the Sudanese Mahdist Revolt, was an extended clash between the Mahdist Sudanese powers and the Somewhat English Egyptian powers.
The conflict emerged from the ascent of Muhammad Ahmad, a Sudanese strict pioneer who broadcasted himself the Mahdi, a messianic figure.
The Mahdist powers tried to oust the Old English Egyptian rule in Sudan.
The conflict saw a few significant fights, including the Attack of Khartoum, where English General Charles Gordon was killed.
The contention went on with discontinuous threats until 1899 when the English powers at last crushed the Mahdist powers at the Clash of Umm Diwaykarat.
The conflict brought about the re-foundation of Somewhat English Egyptian command over Sudan.
