Spanish-American Conflict (1898):
The Spanish-American Conflict was battled among Spain and the US.
The conflict was set off by the blast of the USS Maine in Havana Harbor and public objection over Spanish rule in Cuba.
The contention extended past Cuba and remembered commitment for the Philippines and Puerto Rico.
The US accomplished a few maritime triumphs, including the Skirmish of Manila Narrows, and caught domains from Spain.
The conflict finished with the Settlement of Paris, which conceded Cuba its freedom, surrendered Puerto Rico and Guam to the US, and moved the Philippines to the US for a monetary pay.
